Water Baptism

Your First Biblical Step After Salvation

Water baptism is your first and most important step of obedience and faith after salvation. It is an act that tells everyone that you are a follower of Jesus and proclaims on the outside what He has done for you on the inside.

If you are a follower of Jesus Christ, we encourage you to get water baptized as soon as possible, which you can do right here at Life Church on a Sunday morning.

We baptize in water on the 4th Sunday of every month in our Sunday morning gatherings, so there is no need to wait too long!

By Being Water Baptized, You Are:

  1. Following the Example Set By Christ

  2. Demonstrating Your Changed Life

  3. Declaring Your Commitment Publicly

Water Baptism Declares Publicly What Has Happened Privately.

 What We Believe

We practice baptism by immersion in water, which is the way Jesus was baptized and the way the Bible describes.

In the days of the early church, thousands of people came to believe in Jesus Christ and just as quickly were baptized in water as a visible sign of their internal commitment. At Life Church, we believe that as soon as you make a commitment to be a follower of Christ, you need to be baptized, and our goal is to provide you with as many opportunities as possible to do that.

MARK 1:9-10

“At that time Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan. Just as Jesus was coming up out of the water, he saw heaven being torn open and the Spirit descending on him like a dove.”

MATTHEW 28:19

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”

MATTHEW 10:32-33

“Whoever acknowledges me before others, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven. But whoever disowns me before others, I will disown before my Father in heaven.”
